RAM PROMASTER LIFT FAQs
Does the Lift Kit Change the Ride Quality?
The van should drive relatively the same. After installation the van is a few inches taller so it is more prone to swaying which is why SumoSprings are recommended to help stiffen the suspension and depending on the van a rear sway bar can also help improve the ride. Also after the installation because adjustments are made to the motors subframe the motor mounts are adjusted, as a result you may notice a slight vibration in the steering wheel while stopped or while in reverse. This vibration is not causing any damage, you are just feeling the natural vibration through the motor mount because it is slightly tighter than before so it does not dampen the vibration as effectively.
Does the Lift Kit Require Additional Maintenance?
No, though due to the RAM ProMaster having weaker front axles we recommend that each time you get your tires rotated or an oil change to have the servicer check the CV boots on the front axles to verify they are in good condition with no tears or leaking.
Can I Have The Lift Installed Locally? (Outside of SLC)
The crew at Off Highway Van enjoy meeting all those who bring their vans in to have the kit installed they understand that the distance or time commitment just doesn't work for some customers. That being the case suspension shops all over the nation have installed the lift kit with no problem, OHV is happy to provide a copy of the instructions to your shop of choice so they can review it first and then let you know if they are comfortable doing the installation assuming you are comfortable having them do the installation for you.
Is the Lift Install DIY Friendly?
We do not recommend that the customer do the lift kit installation themselves. This lift kit does include adjustments to the engine subframe and OHV does not want a customer get stuck in the driveway because they didn't have the right tools, equipment, or experience.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

I was not at all happy with my 2021 Thor Tellaro... they put the battery box underneath in the center of the vehicle only 3" clearance so i was constantly scrapping it with every small speed bump. This led to an expensive repair. These are $11k worth of batteries in a vulnerable spot!
I got the 3" lift kit for the promaster along with the suspension upgrades and it has totally transformed the vehicle AND my feelings about it. I haven't scrapped the bottom since and the van ride is much stiffer- resisting crosswind better, tracking better, and overall just a much more solid and comfortable ride. It will never be an offroad vehicle but potholes, bumps, and moderate forest roads are not a problem. Only downside is slightly more difficult to get into the vehicle because the height.
And... it looks cool! -

OHV did a lift and suspension upgrade on my 2022 Travato.
It's fantastic!
The ride quality is night and day. I was shocked at the difference!
Even though it was only a small lift, I no longer have to worry about scraping on bumps, curbs and railroad tracks! -

We had OHV lift our Travato by 4" last summer. What a great job they did! We can now drive onto roads and pathways that we would not have tried at all, even though it's not a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Everyone there was super helpful, and we got a tour through the shop area. They are doing one-of-a-kind custom adaptations that blew us away. Our son had recommended OHV to us and we now recommend the company to you-these experts know what they are doing and obviously are passionate about what they do.
Thanks, guys.

After a lot of research, we decided to have OHV install lift kit, upgraded suspension and tires and wheels on our Travato Promaster. The process went great.
When we opened the door we were greeted with two sweet dogs. What could be better than that! Kaimen was great explaining the work and answering questions. We also got a tour of their awesome and bustling shop where they are doing complete builds and upgrades. AJ and Kaimen were knowable and fun to talk to. They helped us find some things to do in town while they were working on our van. The van looks and drives great. The experience was a pleasure. We would definitely recommend OHV to anyone looking for a complete build or any upgrades.
Thanks again.
